Coming soon…

Russia cover.pngThe Russian Grand Prix was expected to be a rout for Ferrari, after an impressive practice and qualifying, but the all-Ferrari front row evaporated as Valtteri Bottas burst from third on the grid to pass both Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.  After that Bottas tried to pull away but managed to build a lead of only five seconds before it began to come down again. He pitted just after half-distance but Vettel stayed out, hoping to gain an advantage. It didn’t work. When Vettel came out he had slipped further behind. His tyres were better, of course, and he fought back, closing in lap after lap, but Bottas stayed cool, worked his way through traffic and won a brilliant first victory. Ferrari finished second and third, while Lewis Hamilton had a disagreeable day, lugging is car behind him but still only mnaging to finish fourth.
